MFR and Trigger Point Therapy

When an area of the body is tight and tense, it can cause referral pain in another area. Trigger Point and MFR therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of pressure and release. In this type of therapy the participant also plays a part through deep breathing and identifying the location of discomfort.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage

Customized to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies which hold tension in the neck, back, abdominal muscles and shoulders. Prenatal massage can assist with sleep, mood, relieve cramps and swelling as well as ease pain and discomfort. Postpartum massage is an effective and holistic approach for the many adjustments to motherhood. It is well known for pain relief as well as hormone regulation, reduced swelling and improved breastfeeding.

Relaxation / Swedish / Deep Tissue Massage

Relaxation and Swedish techniques are widely practiced and a classic choice for a relaxing massage that increases circulation using techniques to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. Deep tissue massage on the other hand uses firm pressure and slow strokes to manipulate the sub-layer of musculature and fascia to reduce inflammation related pain.

Craniosacral Therapy

A natural and gentle treatment that involves the motion of fluids which surround the brain, spine and pelvis. By normalising these areas with gentle pulsations, craniosacral therapy can be used to get rid of blockages which can allow the body to heal as well as reduce emotional and physical stress and tension as well as improve conditions such as migraines, IBS, ear and sinus infections, difficult pregnancies and trauma recovery (eg, whiplash).

Visceral Therapy

Gently massages the organs to enable the body to release restrictions and unhealthy compensations that cause pain and dysfunction. The treatment is a gentle compression, elongation and mobilization of soft tissues to provide muscle release and improve overall function of the body.
